Today, Kings Guard Gaming – the first esports franchise of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, announced a new partnership with CEEK Virtual Reality, an award-winning developer of premium virtual and augmented reality experiences. The Sacramento Kings have been recognized as the NBA’s most technologically-advanced team, including the title of Fast Company’s 2017 Most Innovative Company in Sports.
As part of the venture, CEEK VR headsets and technologies will be featured in the Kings Guard world-class esports training facility and content studio housed inside of Golden 1 Center, the world’s most technologically advanced and sustainable sports venue. Kings Guard players and arena guests in the esports facility can enjoy performance and concerts from world-class acts produced by CEEK, and in the coming months, features inside the world of the NBA 2K League and Kings Guard will be available.
During Kings Guard matches, CEEK VR will be on display in the virtual arena with courtside signage. In-game signage will begin appearing today when Kings Guard plays its first game during the NBA 2K League tournament – “THE TIPOFF.”
Kings Guard has been identified by Forbes as a team to beat – with an A+ draft rating and is the buzz of the NBA 2K League with NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal serving as the team’s General Manager and UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber curating the team’s training and performance program.
CEEK VR simulates the communal experience of attending a sporting event or live concert, being in a classroom, and other ‘money can’t buy’ exclusive experiences with friends anywhere at any time. The mission of CEEK VR is to make virtual reality experiences universally accessible and enjoyable.
The CEEK VR executive team comes with a proven track record of industry leaders ranging from Microsoft, Boeing, The Walt Disney Company, DreamWorks SKG, 20th Century Fox, NFL, Verizon and Zynga.
